Kiran Kaur, M.S.

Clinical Psychology Extern

Kiran is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at the University of Utah. Her research interests are understanding transdiagnostic treatment mechanisms, such as emotion regulation and distress tolerance, addressing mental health disparities in minority or marginalized communities, and using community-based participatory research methods to understand the intersection between culture and mental health. She has worked in several clinical settings (e.g., community mental health clinics, university counseling center, Veterans Affairs in Salt Lake City) with varying age groups and mental health presentations. She believes that clients are experts in themselves and tailors evidence-based treatments to help clients achieve their goals. She enjoys reading, hiking, yoga, and watching shows in her free time.
