CEUs: 1.0 CEU approved by UPA and NASW-UT

About the presentation:

Latinx immigrants living in the United States (U.S.) can experience psychological distress due to the challenges they face. Particularly the undocumented Latinx population face stressors such as deportation, discrimination, anxiety, depression, and trauma concerns (Garcini et al., 2016). Currently, these are exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. This lecture will present the most recent literature regarding COVID-19 challenges and resilience among the Latinx immigrant population in the U.S. Dr. Welty and Dr. Chevere Rivera will also discuss clinical recommendations to enhance cultural humility and effectively meet the needs of this population during the ongoing pandemic.
