Katie Flanagan, Psy.D, is a licensed clinical psychologist at UCEBT. She has experience in evidence-based assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Katie was trained as a generalist and enjoys working with people with a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, suicidality/self-harm, family/relationship difficulties, and life transitions. She is particularly passionate about working with adolescents and young adults who struggle with emotion regulation difficulties and want help with living a life that is more in line with their personal values. Katie specializes in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She also conducts couple’s therapy using the Gottman Method. She describes her therapeutic style as warm, nonjudgmental, collaborative, and direct.

She completed her graduate training in Clinical Psychology at PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium working with individuals across the lifespan in community mental health, schools, and hospitals. She completed an APA-accredited internship at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute (previously the University Neuropsychiatric Institute) focused on evidence-based intervention and assessment of children and adolescents with diverse and complex diagnoses across inpatient and day treatment settings.  Her dissertation focused on family dynamics and early treatment outcomes in adolescents with eating disorders.
